Food question - poop related

Hi everyone! I have not posted here in a long, loooonngg time but I was hoping my old forum could help me out. Lucy is doing great, she's 1.5 yrs old now and weighs right at 70 lbs. I can't believe how fast she grew up.

We have been feeding her Innova red meat large bites since just after she was fixed last year and she's always done great on this food. She eats 2 cups a day which is below what the bag indicates but we had to cut back because the recommended amount seemed to be a bit too much. But recently her poops have been pretty runny. She even had diarreah in the house one night while we were gone which is very very unusual for her. I've been wondering if her food isn't agreeing with her all of the sudden, which is weird because she's always had no problems with it. I was thinking of keeping her on Innova but just switching to the chicken formula for a while to see how she does on that. Was wondering if anyone had any experience with this or has any recommendations on switching within brands? Why would she have a reaction to her food all of the sudden? I've heard that varying the type of meat they eat can be beneficial. Any opinions or advice would be great! Thanks, it's good to be back

JMHO, I would take a sample to your vet and have it checked, just to make sure she hasn't picked anything up. In the meantime, you might check the net for Innova, see if there have been others with the same reaction; maybe they're changed something in the formula. That's what we did when Joe was refusing to eat Nutro. Thru research we found they had changed something in their formula. Please let us know how things go.
