So my Stella got her first taste of the pool this week....and of course she LOVES it. I am glad, however she has a strange swimming behaviour; when we are swimming with her she often makes a b-line for one of us and almost gets on top of us. We have to direct her to turn and stop scratching us! What the heck is she doing? This is my first dog that swims so I am not sure what is "normal" for doggie swimming behaviour. Anyone have some insight? I don't want her coming at me when I am with my toddler in the pool!

Thanks! It's nice to know that my dog isn't the only crazy swimmer! She does love to fetch and that definitely keeps her busy. Luckily we have a toddler and therefore put up a baby-safe fence....it works great to keep Stella out while I do laps. Otherwise we will keep her busy with retrieving in the pool.
