The Vet told us that he is not sick and has no parasites so why does he poop watery yellow/brownish stool. The smell is horrible. We have tried differant types of puppy food but really we don't see any changes. Is this normal for puppies ??? He is teething right now but this poop stinks so bad and its so hard to clean. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

How long has the puppy had this? My first thought was Giardia a parasite that is hard to detect as the parasite is not found in every stool sample. .. I know first hand that stools are yellowish and STINk as I had it its awful!. Is the puppy lethargic? Weight loss? Hows the appetite? I would go back to your vet and ask that the dog puppy be tested again for this parasite and read this link so you are informed,

Thanks Karen for your advice. We took our Lab to the Vet. He was throwing up and was unable to stop, so now it was coming out from both ends. The Vet gave him a shot so he would stop throwing up and she gave us some pills for him to take.
His stool has been watery right from day one.The Vet told us that his stool is clear. She tells us that he has the watery stool because he is a puppy. She seems to use the word thinks alot because there is no medical evidence showing why he is pooping yellow/brown watery stool.
Anyway we will see how he makes out. We are going to cut down the amount of food he eats and also cut down on his treats. He was eating 5 cups of puppy food a day, we are now going to give him only 3 cups of puppy food and see what happens.

I am by no means a vet or a tech, but I do have some questions if you don't mind. How old is your pup? What food are you feeding? Please don't take offense but how long have you been with this vet? Did she say anything about keeping him hydrated? Is he drinking plenty of water?

No offense, but you might think about a second opinion. And you might not want to wait too long.

Thanks all for your feedback. He is doing very well. His stool is alot better. We are giving him only 4 cups of puppy food for the day.Again thanks.

Now for a another topic.

Was walking our dog and some guy was really impressed with our Lab. He asked if he can use our dog for breeding. He offered 600 dollars. I was surprised that people pay for breeding. What is the going rate ??? Sounds really weird that our dog was asked to be a stud.Again this was all new to us. We were waiting for him to get alittle older before he gets fixed.

JMO, run, do not walk from this person. You love your dog, he is awesome, but do you plan on doing clearances on him to make sure there are no issues, this is just one thing that needs to be done. Hopefully, some of our breeders will post.
