The Labrador Retriever Club's code asks member breeders to give a written contract spelling out the terms and length of any guarantee or restrictions, provide pedigree and parents' health reports, keep the right of first refusal if you ever rehome the dog, and sell pet puppies on limited registration or a spay/neuter agreement.
